Minami Goto is a Japanese filmmaker. She holds a B.A. in Art History from the University of Tokyo and an M.F.A. from Columbia University in the City of New York.
She has extensive experience working with international crews and has directed, written, and edited numerous short films in both the United States and Japan. In 2017, Minami won the Avex Digital Award for Best Script and Pitch at the Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia for "Breakers," as well as the Jack Larson Award for Collaboration for "kiko."
Minami has participated in several international film programs, including the Kyoto Filmmakers Lab (2020), the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival’s Fantastic Film School (2020), and the Rotterdam Lab (2023).
She founded a creative boutique Cobalt Pictures Co., Ltd. in 2022.
Her first feature as a writer and producer, "Blue Imagine," premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and received awards at Osaka Asian Film Festival, Ho Chi Minh International Film Festival in 2024.
She currently divides her time between Japan and South Korea, while developing her first feature debut as a director.
後藤美波は静岡県出身の映画監督。東京大学文学部を卒業後、奨学金を得て留学し、米国コロンビア大学大学院フィルムスクールで映画制作を学ぶ。
アメリカ、日本において数々の短編映画を執筆・監督・編集した経験を持ち、作品はショートショートフィルムフェスティバル＆アジア、ホーリーショーツ映画祭やシンガポール国際映画祭など、世界各地の映画祭で上映された。
短編映画企画「KIKO」でJack Larson Award for Collaboration、短編脚本「ブレイカーズ（旧題：椅子と机とコンクリート）」でavex digital AWARDを受賞。京都フィルムメーカーズラボ2020、プチョン国際ファンタスティック映画祭のワークショップ Fantastic Film School 2020、ロッテルダムラボ2023に参加した。
脚本家・共同プロデューサーとして参加した長編映画「ブルーイマジン」はロッテルダム国際映画祭でプレミア上映され、ホーチミン国際映画祭や大阪アジアン映画祭で受賞。
2022年に株式会社コバルトピクチャーズを設立。
現在は日本と韓国をベースに活動している。
